In the depths of the Pacific Ocean, as Spring breaks across the Northern Hemisphere,
a salmon named Hector of the Hinntick School, obsessed with an instinctive desire to swim north, uses all his passion and determination to convince the other salmon in his school to travel with him.
Thus begins an epic journey that sees the Hinntick School travel over two thousand miles through the Pacific Ocean and the Alaskan wilderness - constantly in danger from frightening attacks by Teeth Fish, Sky Claws and Furry Legs - and all the while battling exhaustion, starvation and their own self doubts - before joining millions of other salmon and reaching a destiny that none of them could possibly have imagined.
